ALLERGY & FOOD SENSITIVITY TESTING
Allergy or an allergic reaction is an adverse immune reaction to an allergen in our environment.
The difference between an allergic reaction to food and food intolerance is that an allergic reaction happens instantly while food intolerance shows a delayed reaction usually due to a slow acidulous build up in the body.
Also only a small amount of food can cause an allergic response while a much broader amount and variety of foods in combination can cause a food intolerance.
Often a food intolerance is not recognised and diagnosed since the symptoms seem to be broad and of a mixed nature.
