CUPPING<\/h1>\n

is one of the oldest methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The vacuum created within the cups by the lack of oxygen anchor the cups to the skin. A pull upwards is exerted onto the skin. Drawing up the skin is opening up the skin pores which helps to stimulate the flow of blood, balances and realigns the flow of Qi, breaks up obstructions and creates an avenue for toxins to be drawn out of the body.<\/h2>\n

Depending on the condition being treated, the cups will be left in place from 5 to 10 minutes. Several cups may be placed on a patient’s body at the same time.<\/h2>\n

Cupping is used primarily to treat respiratory conditions as bronchitis, asthma and congestions, gastrointestinal disorders and certain type of pain.<\/h2>\n

” Gliding Cupping ” is the term we use when we glide the cup ( once suctioned to the skin ) across, up and down over the skin. The suction in the cups produces pressure, loosens muscles, increases the blood circulation and aids lymph drainage. This is particular effective in treating WEIGHT LOSS and CELLULITIS.<\/h2>\n

By working with the acupuncture meridians, cupping facilitates the opening of these channels of Qi and creates a free flow of the energy which reduces and eliminates swelling and pain. Even hands, wrists, legs and ankles can be “cupped ” in arthritic pain conditions.<\/h2>\n
