SHAMANIC  HEALING

Shamanic Healing is an ancient spiritual method of Healing that deals with the Spiritual Aspect of illness.

In the shamanic way of seeing, illness begins in the spirit. We become de-spirited. If we do not attend to our despirited self, it will effect our mind and our emotions. Unhealed emotions and belief pattern filter into our body and we become physically sick.

There are three common causes of illness in the Shaman’s world view. A person may have lost his or her power, causing depression, chronic illness, or a series of misfortunes. In this case the Shaman journeys to restore that person’s lost power.

A person might have lost part of their soul or essence, causing soul loss, which sometimes occurs during an emotional or physical trauma, such as accidents, abuse, the trauma of war, being in a natural disaster, the death of a loved one, divorce, surgery or other traumatic circumstances. Soul loss can result in dissociation, post-traumatic stress syndrome, depression, illness, addictions, unending grief or coma. Soul loss can prevent us from creating healthy relationships and the life we truly wish to live. It is the role of the Shaman to facilitate the person’s Soul Retrieval.

Another cause of illness from a shamanic perspective would be any spiritual blockages or negative energies a person has taken due to the loss of his power or soul. These spiritual blockages also cause illness, usually in a localised area of the body. It is the role of the Shaman to shift these energies.

” Healing transforms our life, and when we heal we measure the success by increased well-being, a sense of life purpose and mission, a new found peace, empowerment and feeling as one with everything that is. “

Our ancient roots are Shamanism wherever we live and whichever culture we belong to. We all share this spiritual heritage. Since time began, humans tried to understand and get knowledge of life and the universe, to give meaning to life cycles and events. The spiritual understanding of our ancestors is the same all over the world, and it is culture’s diversity which creates a different tone and colour to the same message, the Essence of Spirituality :

All is one

We are all one

Everything is Energy

All matter, our bodies, are energy in solid form

We are creation and co-creators

Everything is alive and follows the same cycle of life

SHAMANISM  is the oldest psycho-spiritual practice, dating back more than 40,000 years, SHAMANIC  MEDICINE has the purpose of keeping people connected to Spirit, The Divine, and strive for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual life balance.

A SHAMAN is someone who walks with one foot in the everyday world and one foot in the spirit world, creates a bridge between the visible, material and the invisible, spiritual, non-manifest world. The human self is seen as two : the Ego-Self who exists in the body on Earth , and the Higher-Self who stays in Spirit and functions as our guide if we are able and willing to listen. It is through our healing process we can achieve mastery of our Self and birth our Higher Self, the Inner Master. We raise our consciousness, regain our power, co-create our existence and become who we truly are.

WHAT  DOES  IT  MEAN  FOR  US  TODAY  TO  LIVE  THE  SHAMAN’S  WAY  ?

It means to live connected to Spirit, connected to all people, and knowing we are all one. Be connected, alive, vital, passionate and show compassion to all living beings.

Be connected to Mother Earth and all her elements and creatures. In seeing and feeling ourselves as part of All – That – Is, we are included and have a part to play in everything . Become more and more conscious and remember and observe that we are part of the Whole. We do not exist as separate beings , however lonely or isolated we may feel at times. We are part of our families, friends, neighbours, communities, country, Mother Earth, who, in turn circles around the Sun with all the other planets in organised orbits in our Solar System, which, in turn, with other Solar Systems, is part of our Galaxy. There are billions of Galaxies which create the Universe, which is part of………

We have no separate existence from all that is.

The Hermetic Law tells us ” As above, so below, as internal, so is external “.

We are a physical and spiritual being with consciousness, so is everything else.  Our consciousness expands  continuously through the journey in time and space, and our consciousness is part of the Great Consciousness of the Universe. We are connected in a wonderful way. The human race is now challenged to wake up, challenged to return to the consciousness of Oneness, a great gift to realise we are co-creators of our life’s here on Earth. Now we are to use the ‘ less travelled road ‘ of personal inner development, becoming aware and raising consciousness. To take responsibility for ourselves, our actions and all creation in the world. Our internal change will create change in our manifestation. If we create internal peace for ourself, we will create peace in our external existence.

If we are able to love and care for our environment, take care of Mother Earth, we will heal our diseases. If we love and take care of our body, mind, soul and spirit, Earth will heal. Let’s make this step and be part of something much greater than our individual self. Heal yourself, your family, your community, your country, all nations on our globe and Earth itself. We don’t need to divide each other through political ideologies and monetary greed, religion, belief systems, skin colour, language. Recognition, appreciation and love for our diversity as a symbol of this amazing creation we are and live in.

A  FINAL  WORD  FROM  CARL G. JUNG  FROM HIS BOOK ” MAN AND HIS SYMBOLS” :

As  scientific  understanding has grown, so our world has  become dehumanised. Man feels himself isolated in the cosmos, because he is no longer involved in nature and has lost his emotional ‘unconscious identity’ with natural phenomena. These have slowly lost their symbolic implications. Thunder is no longer the voice of an angry god, nor is lightening his avenging missile. No river contains  a spirit, no tree is the embodiment of wisdom, no mountain cave the home of the great demon. No voices now speak to man from stones, plants and animals, nor does he speak to them believing they can hear. His contact with nature has gone, and with it has gone the profound emotional energy that this symbolic connection supplied.
